About Our Temple
Approximately 80 years ago, Tamil residents in the Daud Hijaya estate were involved in tree-cutting activities. They established a temple dedicated to Nagammal, venerating her as a guardian deity. Eventually, these Tamil residents relocated to different areas. Following the disposal of the small temple and the sale of the estate, the owner presented the Nagammal statue to a temple in the Labu neighborhood. Subsequently, an urban development plan aimed at renovating the estate. Through the collective efforts of local devotees and the temple administration, a Lakshmi Durgai Saraswati temple has been newly constructed and officially registered on a smaller scale. The government has allocated one acre of land to the temple, and there are plans within the temple management to construct a new temple on this site.
