About Our Temple
Approximately 90 years ago, both TNB staff and farmworkers residing in Kuala Pilah collaborated to construct the Muneeswaran temple and engaged in communal prayers. Subsequently, in 1940, led by Mr. CV Raman, these individuals came together again to establish the Mahamariamman temple, dedicated to the worship of Ambal idols. TNB employees and local farmworkers played an integral role in the construction and worship activities of this temple. Initially, they conducted sacrificial ceremonies for Lord Muneeswaran. However, during one instance of a goat sacrifice ceremony, the goat managed to escape, leading them to decide against continuing such sacrificial activities. The estate temple was later relocated to its current position and is now known as the Mettu Temple.
