About Our Temple
The Tamil community in the Senawang estate established the Sri Maha Mariamman Alayam temple 110 years ago. In close proximity to this estate, a Tamil school was constructed by the British. The Tamil community residing in this area constructed a small temple for worship. However, in 1950, due to urban development plans, the estate ordered the removal of this temple. Consequently, the temple sought assistance from the government to provide an alternative location. The government responded by allocating 0.5 acres of land for the temple. The construction of this temple is a result of collaborative efforts between the temple administration and the Tamil community.
