About Our Temple
The guardian deity of the Indian community in the Melang estates was initially known as Muniswarar. They erected a Mariamman temple and installed an Ambal statue in 1905. A location for the temple was provided inside the estate in 1977. Due to the efforts of Mr. Muniandy, the temple's head at the time, who built the temple held the Kumbabhisegam festival in the estate area. Indian communities that have moved to other locations come back for the yearly Thiruvila,
