About Our Temple
The Tamil people who lived in the farms of Bahau and Rompin treasured the Vel and revered it as a guardian deity almost a century ago. Later, they constructed a little temple to Chamundeswari and worshipped her. Thanks to the efforts of Mr. A R Nambiar Nair and followers. The Chamundeswari temple was constructed by the predominantly Keralan residents of the area, who revere Ayyappa as their guardian deity. At the time, it was the first Ayyappan temple in Malaysia. With the help of the temple administration and devotees, the entire temple was refurbished in 1962. Both the pooja ritual and the temple's proper registration have been completed.
