About Our Temple
In 1954, the labor community in the nearby camp was predominantly composed of Indian workers. A group affiliated with a temple opted to submerge idols of various deities into the sea. As they placed each god's statue into the water, noticeable changes occurred in the sea level. For certain deities, the water level receded, while for others like Ayyanar, Muniswarar, and Bairavar, it rose. Due to the rising water level, they decided to leave a particular deity's statue on the beach, including the earthen statue of Anjeneayar, which they couldn't transport. A Muslim man praying in a nearby prayer hall spotted Anjeneayar's statue and later informed his Indian colleagues at the camp about the discovery. In response, the Indian residents from the army camp decided to construct a modest temple at the location where the deity's statue was found, using materials like cement and zinc. Subsequently, statues of Ayyanar, Muniswarar, and Bairavar were also placed in the temple.
