About Our Temple
Established in 1995, this temple is located in Kampung Barisan, Rantau, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, with Mr. Gobi serving as its founder. Initially, Mr. Chandran began using the image of Lord Hanuman for prayers in 1975. In 1995, Mr. Gobi, the temple's founder, renovated the building to transform it into the Durgai Amman Temple. Visitors to the temple sought divination services (Kuri Paartthal) from Mr. Gobi. In 1999, Goddess Amman was renamed Sree Kanaga Durgai Amman. Subsequently, the deities Vinayagar, Hanuman, Kaliamman, and Muniswarar were introduced to the temple. The first Kumbhabishegam was conducted in 2007, and the second occurred in 2019, honoring Deity Sarbeswarar, Bagavathi Amman, and 18 Padi Karuppar (Kolli Malai Maasi Karuppar). The temple actively engages the local community through events such as Thevaram lessons and traditional sports.
