About Our Temple
Approximately 135 years ago, the Sri Durgai Ambal Temple stood as a roadside shrine. During that period, workers from the Public Works Department (JKR) constructed a modest temple for worship. In 1998, the temple committee formally approached the landowner to request ownership of the temple land. By 2001, the committee successfully acquired the land and subsequently erected a larger temple with improved architecture. Presently, the temple is officially registered and hosts an annual Aadi festival that draws a substantial crowd.
