About Our Temple

The Sree Mathurai Veeran Temple is situated in Kuala Ketil, Kedah, and its establishment dates back to 1953. The temple's origins trace back to a public hospital within the estate, where an employee placed a picture of Lord Mathurai Veeran under a tree for worship. After a few years, the decision was made to construct the Sree Mathurai Veeran Temple on the estate grounds. Located in the farm area of the estate, this temple is accompanied by another one behind it, namely the Goddess Muthumariamman Temple. Approximately 800 families residing in the Kuala Ketil area consider these two temples as their primary places of worship. The Sree Mathurai Veeran Temple is duly registered.
