About Our Temple
Approximately 135 years ago, a temple dedicated to Atabaran Amman was established by Tamil residents who lived in the village of Istana Abdullah Aziz in Malaysia. In the early years, they made a small hut with wooden planks and zinc roof under a tree and placed a trident (Soolam) inside the hut and worshipped it as Amman. Unfortunately, detailed historical information about this temple is not available. In the 1980s. Mr. Palanisamy, a resident of the area, took the initiative to build a proper temple for Goddess Mariamman. The efforts of Mr. Palanisamy resulted in the construction of a new Mariamman temple. The temple's history and information are not extensively documented, but it has become a significant place of worship for devotees. The tree where the trident was worshipped still stands today, and it is believed by the devotees that it possesses special divine energy due to the presence of the deity Ambal.
