About Our Temple
In 1925, KTM employees, along with the head of the Kuala Krau Railway Station, collaborated with local residents to build the Sri Maha Lingeshwarar Temple in the Kuala Krau area. With the assistance of KTM employees, a small hut was initially constructed in 1925, followed by the establishment of the Sri Maha Muneeswarar Temple. However, in subsequent years, due to the relocation of all Hindu employees of KTM, the local community took ownership of the temple. In 1988, the temple was renamed as Penganut Persatuan Sri Maha Muneeswarar Kuala Krau Aalayam, by a group of supporters and the general public. The society, along with the Kuala Krau Indian Community, worked together to renovate the temple, adding the Lingam statue to make it the Sri Maha Lingeshwarar Temple. Presently, the temple is registered under the name "Penganut Persatuan Sri Maha Lingeshwarar Kuala Krau Aalayam".
