About Our Temple
Constructed in 1920 by Mr. Renggasamy Mandor, the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple is situated in Batang Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, and has been developed by the Indian community residing in the area. In its early years, the temple consisted of a small hut made of wooden planks with a zinc roof. The worship within the temple focused on the statue of Goddess Amman, who was regarded as the guardian deity by many people in the vicinity. Presently, the temple has evolved, and it celebrates Theemithi Triuvilla every year on a grand scale, reflecting the continued significance of this religious site within the community.
