About Our Temple
This temple was built near Bukit Tembok in 1910. Mr. Singaravelu is the founder of this temple. He built a tiny hut with the help of Malayan Railway (KTM) workers. After setting up the statue of Dewi Amman, they began to revere her. He oversaw this temple at the same time with the help of a few volunteers. A few rows of homes were constructed around 1922 close to the railway tracks and the temple area. Subsequently, Mr. Saravanamurthy, the house contractor, and a few volunteers oversaw the temple. The construction of the temple was actively participated in by both KTM employees and locals. The temple hosted its inaugural Kumbhabishegam in 1961. Subsequently, the temple was expanded by public donations and government support. The temple was inaugurated in 1981 by Datuk K. Pathmanathan, who made significant contributions to it. Subsequently, the next Kumbhabishegam took place in 2000 with grandly, and again in 2012.
