About Our Temple
The Sri Muniswarar Ayya Temple was established in 1932. In the initial days, People residing in the estate region worshiped Muniswaran as their guardian deity. They placed a trident (Soolam) as a symbol and performed rituals with devotion. During the colonial era, Tamil workers who labored in the estates migrated to urban areas, leaving their homes behind. Later, workers from J.K.R Plantations, who came to the area, initiated the construction of a Muniswarar Temple in the same regions where they lived. They established a small shrine for Muniswaran and performed the consecration ceremony. Currently, the temple is officially registered, and all ceremonies are conducted with great reverence. Muniswarar in this region is revered as the "Protector" of the Indian community.
