About Our Temple

Established in 1980 by Mr. Gooindaraju, the Sri Sitti Vinayagar Temple is situated in Kampung Serampang Indah, Jempol, Negeri Sembilan. As per the local beliefs, this temple is positioned within an area dedicated to sugarcane cultivation, which serves as a significant source of income for the residents due to the presence of a sugar cane processing factory. The region has long been a habitat for wild animals, particularly elephants, making it a notable attraction. Consequently, the locals, now residing in the area known as Kampung Serampang Indah, interpret the arrival of wild elephants as a symbolic visitation by Lord Ganesha. This belief inspired the community to form an association of temple devotees. For over 40 years, the Sri Sitti Vinayagar Temple has been fulfilling the spiritual needs of the local residents, serving as a central hub for their religious practices and cultural activities.
