About Our Temple
The Subramaniya Temple, situated in Temerloh, Pahang, was founded by Mr. Ponnaya in 1923. In its initial years, Mr. Ponnaya installed a petite spear and conducted rituals to venerate Lord Murugan as the guardian deity. This practice inspired the local Tamil community to also embrace the worship of Lord Murugan. Consequently, with the temple administration's approval, a small Murugan temple was constructed. The temple management further enriched the spiritual atmosphere by incorporating the presence of Lord Shiva, commemorating the occasion with a Khumbabishegam ceremony. Special festivities, including dedicated worship to Murugan and the observance of Kanda Sashti, are joyously and reverently celebrated at the temple.
