About Our Temple
The Sri Subrahmanya Temple in Kuala Lipis, Pahang was established in 1949 by a devotee who lived in the area. In the initial days, he placed a small spear and started worshipping it as the guardian deity. Soon, the Tamils living in the area began to follow the teachings of Lord Murugan, and with the permission of the management, a small Murugan temple was established. Currently, they have expanded the temple by adding a statue of Lord Shiva and consecrated a new temple. The temple conducts all the rituals in a grand manner. Special celebrations such as Muruga Pooja and Kanda Sashti are celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence.
