About Our Temple
The Sri Subramaniyar Temple is located in Ampang, Selangor, and though the founder's identity remains unknown, it is believed to have been established in the 1980s. In its early days, local residents placed a spear (Vel) in a small hut made of wooden planks and a zinc roof. Considering the Vel as a representation of Lord Murugan, devotees gathered to pray and worship. The temple became a focal point for many devotees in the Ampang area. Under the stewardship of the new temple management, a more durable stone structure has replaced the original hut. The temple is officially registered, and it observes the annual festival of Chitrai Pournami in April.
