About Our Temple
Approximately a century ago, the Tamil residents of the Eng Lee N Estate region worshipped Karumariyamman as their guardian deity. The women, who were believed to be descendants of the goddess and practiced fortune-telling (Kuri Solluthal) in the area, were responsible for establishing the temple. Initially, they erected a small temple made of wooden boards and worshipped within it. In 1975, they started worshipping a clay idol of Ambal. The first Kumbabhishekam was carried out in 2006, and with the assistance of Mr. Manickam, Mr. Periyasamy, and other devotees, a temple dedicated to Karumariyamman was constructed. Since the temple was built on farmland, it currently lacks registration, and efforts are being made by the temple's management to rectify this.
