About Our Temple
Arilmigu Sri Mahamariamman Kovil is believed to have been initially constructed and cared for by a Chinese resident residing on the Temiang estate. After a few years, Mr. Bala assumed responsibility for overseeing the temple, succeeding the Chinese caretaker. Initially, the temple housed only deities such as Lord Murugan, Vinayagar, and Muniyandi. As the region transformed from a farm to a developed city, Mr. Chandran took the initiative to reconstruct the temple in 2012 and assumed the role of its inaugural chairman. The temple gained increased recognition among the local community after the first kumbhabishegam ceremony was conducted in 2017.
