About Our Temple
Sri Karumariamman Temple was established in the 1930s by the Tamil community living during that period. In its early days, a small shed was built, and a trident (Soolam) was placed for worship. Devotees performed rituals and offered prayers to Lord Muniswaran and Goddess Karumariamman. Later, with financial support from the estate management, a small temple was constructed, and the first consecration (Kumbhabhishekam) ceremony was performed in the 1970s. Over time, the temple underwent several renovations and changes, leading to another Kumbhabhishekam in 1992. Today, the temple is officially registered, and all rituals and festivals are conducted with great devotion and enthusiasm.
