About Our Temple
In 1930, Mr. Chellappa Venkatachalam, an employee of the railway department, received a divine message in a dream where Lord Krishna instructed him to establish a small temple for worship. Acting on this divine guidance, Mr. Venkatachalam and his family placed an idol of Lord Krishna in a modest room, initiating worship practices. Over time, the local residents in his vicinity also began joining in prayers at this makeshift temple. The Krishna temple itself was constructed in 1981, marking the occasion of its first Kumbabhishekam, during which an idol of Maha Vishnu was installed and worshipped. In the 1990s, as part of city development initiatives and railway expansion projects, the government allocated land for three temples in the area: Krishna Temple, Muneeswaran Temple, and Veera Hanuman Temple. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the temple Chairman, Mr. Poobalan Singam, the Krishna temple was successfully built. Subsequently, under the leadership of Mr. Thanga Perumal, who assumed the role of Chairman, adjustments were made to the temple construction plan. A multi-purpose hall was constructed on the ground floor, while the temple was established on the upper floor. The temple has been officially registered and is currently thriving.
