About Our Temple
In 1997, a joint effort by the Indian and Chinese communities led to the establishment of a temple near Kampung Bukit Panjang, close to the Taman Sri Asahan settlement. The transformation of a rubber plantation into the temple prompted some nearby residents to engage in housing development projects. Spanning 1.25 Acres, the temple land rightfully belongs to Mr. G. Saundhirarajan, who serves as the temple head and generously dedicated his land for the temple's construction. Annually, on May 1, commemorated as Labor Day, the community comes together to celebrate the temple's festival. This event sees active participation from both Indian and Chinese communities, fostering unity. The festival not only provides spiritual benefits but also facilitates a food exchange tradition. As of now, the temple management has not been officially registered with Malaysian authorities, but steps are being taken to address this issue promptly. Furthermore, ongoing efforts are underway to enhance and expand the temple's structure.
