About Our Temple
In 1985, Tamil residents of the Razak Housing Area established the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple. The Tamil people living in this area built the temple with the intention of having a place of worship in their community. In the early days, they worshipped Goddess Kaliamman as their guardian deity, seeking protection from natural disasters and illnesses. Later, as part of urban development plans, land acquisition activities took place, hence the temple was relocated to its current location. Through the efforts of the temple management and with financial support from devotees, a new temple was constructed, and a consecration ceremony (Kumbabishekam) was performed. Today, the temple is officially registered, and all rituals and prayers are conducted with great devotion and excellence.
