About Our Temple
This Sri Maha Mariamman temple is located in Jerantut, Pahang. In 1957, Mr. Kanapathy, a foreman in road management, established the temple with assistance from his friends. They, along with the Tamil community residing in the area, engage in prayers and collaborative activities at the temple. Mr. Aathimulam consistently conducts poojai in this temple. In 1961, En Ko Puungavanaam and his father resided in the temple village, overseeing its care. Subsequently, under new temple management, renovations and expansions were carried out with contributions from the Tamil residents of the village. Since 1974, the Chittrai Pournami and Theemithi festivals have been celebrated on a grand scale in this temple. The temple is officially registered under the Registrar of Societies (ROS).
