About Our Temple

The Sri Mahamariamman Temple, situated in Bera, Pahang, was originally constructed in the early 1950s by the Kemayan Estate Management at the main entrance of the estate to serve the Hindu workers. Annually, Hindu prayers are conducted at the temple using funds provided by the estate management and donations gathered from both workers and residents in Kemayan town. Unfortunately, in 1990, the temple faced complete destruction when it was struck by a vehicle driven by a Chinese individual due to brake failure. Consequently, the temple was relocated approximately 30 meters inside the estate land from its original roadside position. The reconstruction of the temple, which cost around RM30,000, spanned nearly six months and was financially supported by both the estate management and devotees from the estate, as well as residents in and around Pekan Kemayan.
