About Our Temple
About a hundred years ago, Indians worked in the estates around Kluang. Mr. Mappanna, who lived in the area, founded the Sri Parasakthi Amman Temple with the intention of providing a place of worship for the Tamil community. Later, due to urban development plans, the temple was relocated to its current site. The government allocated dedicated land for the temple and provided modest financial assistance. Accordingly, a small-scale temple was constructed, and the Kumbhabhishekam (consecration ceremony) was performed in 1960. The current new temple was built through the contributions of the temple administration, devotees, and kind-hearted individuals (construction took nearly seven years). Today, the temple is officially registered, and all rituals and festivals are conducted with great reverence. The Sri Parasakthi Amman Temple now stands as a significant place of worship for the Tamil community in this region.
