About Our Temple

This temple was founded in Rantau's Kampung Nyatoh in 1873. Initially, Mr. Ramu and Mr. Manickam, the temple's founders, exclusively used the image of Karumariamman for worship. Subsequently, in 1893, the followers worked together to create a limestone statue of the Goddess. Mr. Ramasamy's marriage took place at this temple for the first time in 1972. After taking over the temple's management in 1983, Mr. Paramasivam departed it without a prayer ceremony in 1994 to pursue his studies at the university. Upon completing his studies in 2000, he held numerous prayer sessions, drawing a large number of visitors to this shrine. Since that time, this temple has developed into a unique site of worship for the local residents. Now, construction work to expand the temple is underway. In 2024, the temple will hold its first Kumbhabishegam.
