About Our Temple

The Maha Kaliyamman Sri Muneeswarar Temple was established in the 1960s in Bentong, Pahang. According to the dream of a Tamil individual residing in this area, Muneeswaran conveyed his desire to have a temple built for him. In response, the devotee cleared a small space nearby, constructed a modest shrine, and installed a trident (Soolam) to initiate the worship of Muneeswaran. Continuing this effort, the People in the vicinity further adorned a statue of Lord Vinayagar in a nearby tree and began worshipping both Muneeswaran and Vinayagar.In the course of time, they extended their devotion by building a small temple for Kaliyamman as well. In 2019, the temple underwent complete renovation and was consecrated with the name Sri Kaliyamman Sri Muneeswarar Temple. Currently, the temple is registered, and all worship ceremonies and festivals are celebrated with great reverence.
