About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman was established Karak, Pahang in the 1950s by the Tamils who lived there. The People who worked in the area considered Mariamman as their guardian deity and began worshiping her. In the early days, a small idol was placed under a banyan tree, and regular prayers were conducted with a small sAcred fire. With the efforts of the temple administration, the temple further developmed. In 1990, the Sri Maha Mariamman temple was renovated, and the first Khumbabishegam ceremony was conducted with grandly. The temple now houses three main deities. Currently, all rituals and worship are conducted with special care, and the temple hosts various special ceremonies and festivals where devotees gather to receive the blessings of the divine.
