About Our Temple
The Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, located in Jerantut, Pahang, is believed to have been established in 1982 by the Felda workers. The absence of a temple in the area prompted its construction. Initially, in 1982, the temple was constructed in a small stone building. However, in 2016, it underwent expansion on a larger scale. The construction of this temple was initiated at the request of Indian citizens, aiming to propagate Hindu culture and religion in the region. Representatives from the Jerantut community collaborated to assist in the temple's construction. With a history of 40 years, the temple is currently in the process of being officially registered. The annual festival of Aadipuram Thiruvilla is celebrated at this temple.
