About Our Temple
In 1883, the Sri Subramaniyer Palathendayudhapani Lobak Temple was established near the KGV (English) School grounds. Later, the temple was relocated to Temiang. The three founders of this temple, Mr Vellakumaran Palani, Mr Karuppaiya, and Mr Ramaiya worked together to establish the temple in Taman Lobak, a locality predominantly inhabited by Indians. In 1965, the first consecration ceremony (Kumbabishekam) was conducted. In 1984, Datuk Muthu Palaniappan and Datuk Seri S. Sami Velu helped further to expand the temple. Additionally, in 1987, they made contributions to support construction efforts. Following a landslide in 1999, with financial assistance from the government and cooperation from the temple, a large wall was built around the temple to protect it.
